Hard thing to do today

I don't believe how long it has been since I posted here. I have been involved in computer since, well.. a long time, and I rarely do anything with Blogs or Tweets (obviously).

Daughter:
We have been helping her with money for the past four years, we are currently legal guardians of her daughter, she has not seen her daughter for 2 years because she can not/will not provide drug test.

Anyway what was hard today? Without going into major detail (about 4 years worth) she decided to break a trust last night (not the first but this was very premeditated). Now is demanding (yep) with very abusive comments to her mother about transportation from San Bernardino to San Jose. I refused, abusive comments are becoming worse.

What's in San Jose? She plans to live happily ever after with her (convicted of partner abuse) boyfriend, their son of 2 months, and his 2 male cousins (she describes them as so creepy they make her skin crawl). It will only cost them (us) 300.00 a month. In fact if we provide the bus fare and the monthly rent they won't ask for anything more ever (this sure sounded like something they have said before).

Once I refused the payment (have already provided 1,000 due to story about owing money to the Break-ur-Arm loan company) we got the harressing calls about abandoning grandson, making them live on the street, etc.

What is the plan? Well that is the rub. I pray that CPS gets involved for the sake of the 2 month old son, since the boyfriend has violated parole I pray that he gets caught for something, I pray that the boyfriend pays child support for his daughter from a previous marriage, I pray the boyfriend pays child support for his new son, I pray that our daughter wakes up and sees the evil that is around her in this broken world, that she decides to stop the cycle (long story) that she is a part of.

But above all I pray that God will use her to show His work in this universe. She is very smart but blinded. I am sure you know someone in similar situation please pray for them and us.

E-Sword is great

I have been using this program for about 2 years or more. It is great for devotionals, scripture memory, Bible study, and just about anything you want to do with the Bible. If you want a computerized study tool, comentary, etc then visit www.e-sword.net. I know you will find this program essential. I am using it for daily devotionals, scripture memory, study of Romans, and just started using some of the Topic addon's. The price of this program is extremely resonable and really deservies a look. Let me know what you think.

Pro-Marriage on a shirt?

Interesting article at Pacific Justice http://www.pacificjustice.org/index.cfm about high schoolers winning the right to wear a T-Shirt that is pro-marriage, at least for this school year.

August 10 Devotional

The below devotional is from Meyer collection available at www.e-sword.net. That site has a great Bible program. Check it out and see for yourself.

August 10
THE SUPREME CHOICE
"And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere.., as the garden of the Lord. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan... and they separated themselves the one from the other."-- Gen_13:10-11.
THE SOUL that has taken God as its portion can afford to be generous!
As the older man, Abraham might well have claimed the priority of choice, leaving the rest to Lot; but he was quite content to waive his rights, since his Almighty Friend had fixed the place which he was destined to receive for his inheritance. Let Lot choose as he might, he could not obtain an inch of the land which God had included in His Divine purpose for His faithful and obedient servant. "Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land."
It was, therefore, in quiet confidence that the Patriarch stood beside his kinsman and watched him, as he lifted up his eyes to take and claim the fullest advantage of his uncle's unexpected offer. When Lot chose for himself the Plain of Sodom, which was well watered everywhere and lovely as Paradise itself, Abraham acquiesced in the choice with unperturbed equanimity. Looking into the face of God, he said in effect: "Thou art the portion of mine inheritance; Thou maintainest my lot; the lines are fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage."
Then--the separation having taken place--God called His servant back to the hill-top, and gave him all the land in a covenant for ever, and bade him pass whither he wished over the soil, for it was all his own (Gen_13:14-17).
Let God choose for you! Especially, at the beginning of life, as you stand on its threshold and view the land, dare to follow the promptings of " His inner Voice. His Call still comes ringing down the ages: "Follow Me." "Lo, I am with you all the days!"
PRAYER
O God, I believe that Thou knowest just what is best for me. I can ask nothing better than this, to be Thy care, not my own. Through Thy grace, I will follow Thee whithersoever Thou goest. AMEN.

World Magazine July 16th issue

Just started reading it today. The article on page 3 seems a little one sided, shouldn't the pharmacy be allowed to not sell the "morning-after pill", is that not what free enterprise is about? Also what does in "good hands" really mean to Allstate?

Then I ran acoss the article on page 9 about LOGO channel. Since I live way out in the bonnies and really only watch NASCAR I was concerned. So I quickly checked the channel line up for DISH Networks, no LOGO channel yet but it is on DirecTV. Guess I can keep watching my races for a few more months.

Separate yourself from beliefs

How do you go about separating yourself from your beliefs? The action by the courts to make displaying the 10 Commandments illegal is saying to me that life is really of little value, a sreies of random events. Since the foundation is random why not everything else?

Long Time

I did not realize how long it had been, guess time is really speeding up.

How can this be right

How can starving a person be alright? If as the LA Times has indicated that no food and no water are a pleasing way to go, why worry about famines and drought?
